About ACE Physio

I first developed an interest in sports when I started playing tennis and golf at a young age. Pursuing a career in physiotherapy was a way to align my interest in sports with my desire to help people.

I received a Bachelor of Science with First class honours in Physiotherapy from the University of East Anglia, UK, in 2015 and specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 2016. Alongside my everyday clinical work, I also worked for Norwich City Football Club in their physiotherapy department. This involved the acute management of sporting injuries, progression of players’ exercise programmes and taking players through high end rehabilitation.

I moved to Christchurch in 2017 and gained experience working in a private practice with an emphasis on sports rehabilitation. Most recently, I have worked as a Physiotherapist/ Clinical educator at the University of Otago, where I supervised 4th year physiotherapy students on their musculoskeletal placement. In 2022, I received a Post Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy from the University of Otago.

I am the onsite physiotherapist at Wilding Park, the home of Canterbury tennis. As well as the physiotherapist at the Junior ITF (Under 18) international tennis tournaments which are held in Christchurch each year.

I played tennis at a junior elite level in the UK and currently play premier level interclub tennis for Cashmere Tennis Club and premier level interclub golf for Harewood Golf Club, as well as competing in regional and national golf events throughout New Zealand.
