Hello,

I'm Harry

Welcome to ACE Physiotherapy, where I combine my extensive knowledge in general and sports physiotherapy to help my patients live their lives to the fullest.

My clinic is based at Wilding Park Tennis Centre, offering a fantastic space for tennis players and patients, with ample parking for appointments.

At ACE Physiotherapy I focus on flexible hours and longer appointment times, ensuring you get more out of your session. I look forward to welcoming you to ACE soon.

Physiotherapy services

I am skilled in providing physiotherapy for all musculoskeletal problems. This includes any injury to bones, joints, ligaments, tendons or muscles. You do not need a GP referral for an appointment. I can register ACC claims at the initial appointment and am able to arrange X-rays and ultrasound scans, as well as referrals to surgeons and musculoskeletal sports doctors if required. I am also experienced in post-surgery rehabilitation.

At the initial appointment and following sessions as needed, I will use physiotherapy techniques to relieve the issue, such as pain or stiffness. This can include manual techniques, such as soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation, dry needling, and taping.

I have a passion for exercise therapy and therefore believe that this is crucial in the overall rehabilitation from injury.

Sports Physiotherapy

I have significant experience treating sports injuries in athletes of all ages and abilities, with a special interest in tennis and golf specific injuries and conditions.

Once the initial injury has been treated, I am passionate about helping to make you stronger than your pre-injury state.

Alongside my expertise as a physiotherapist, I can use my knowledge of the sport to discover any possible contributions to injuries and work with you to reduce injury risk in the future.

For tennis players this could include looking at technique, racket use and string configuration, and training programme; for golfers, this could include technique, such as your swing and putting stance, choice of equipment and training programme as well.

I have a working relationship with many tennis and golf coaches in Canterbury so am also able to work alongside your coach to develop the best possible recovery programme to get you back to peak performance as soon as possible.

Personalised exercise sessions

I believe strongly in the benefits of movement to help facilitate full recovery from injury. As well as prescribing exercises as part of your treatment plan, I also offer personalised exercise sessions to help aid your recovery and accelerate your return to your chosen sport. This can be in the form of a gym programme or home exercise plan.

Based at Wilding Park, the home of Canterbury tennis, I also offer tennis specific strength and conditioning and fitness training for tennis players. This can be booked individually or can be offered to groups of junior players and worked around their normal tennis session times.

These can be one-off sessions or on a regular basis.
